Low & Slow Smokehouse is the go-to place for BBQ in Stockholm. Since opening in mid-2016 they have gained an undeniable reputation and following for their authentic and deliciously smokey meats. Just check out their Instagram for mouth-watering images or their website if you want to see the story of how this BBQ joint came about.
The menu offers a selection of meats ‘from the pit’ including delicious brisket and ribs but another firm favourite is their Nashville Hot Chicken. As a big fan of fried chicken, I was super happy to find Low & Slow Smokehouse’s offering was good enough to compete for best dish alongside the smoked dishes that they are known for. But it isn’t just about the main course, this is certainly a place worthy of staying for a full three courses. The starters are almost too tempting to choose between and the desserts, although only two options, are incredible!
And fear not if you are vegetarian, there is an option for you guys too.
The drinks menu filled with a constantly changing list of American craft beers. Each time you visit you will likely be faced with plenty of options you have never even come across before, each certainly worth a try. There is a choice of cocktails in keeping with the theme of the place and a small but carefully selected choice of bourbon.
Excitingly, they are also now open for lunch offering sandwiches filled with their gloriously smokey meats and once a month they have a Sunday Brunch with different offerings to the usual menu.
The service is spot on. The servers are really friendly and knowledgeable and you aren’t kept waiting long for the food to come out. The atmosphere is cosy with country music playing in the background, which I personally love!
Price wise this is affordable and worth every penny. And if you head to the bar there is a Happy Hour between 5pm-7pm on the house beer, chicken wings and popcorn. Perfect if you don’t want to go straight home after work.
