Tudor Arms was described to me as ‘more of an English pub than you would find in England’ and I have to agree. This pub is 100% authentic looking on the inside and even has the old, patterned carpet you find in countryside pubs in England. Thankfully it doesn’t have the stale smoke and beer smell usually associated with pub carpets!
It is small, quaint, cosy and very endearing. The staff are nice and the walls are covered with photos from over the years, which leaves you feeling right at home here.
There is nothing notable about the drinks, the selection is quite basic, but that is no bad thing. They do serve food, which includes some classic pub grub dishes. Although the food is nothing remarkable, it is certainly worth giving it a go if you are there. Overall I would say the prices are quite average, but the food is perhaps priced slightly higher than it is worth.
The is one of the pubs that does show sports or at least football. As well as this, they do have a weekly Quiz Night.
Overall, I would say Tudor Arms is one for the atmosphere and definitely worth a visit.
