Stockholm is a notoriously expensive city, so hunting out cheap places to drink is essential if you want any hope of not breaking your budget after one evening out.
Happy hour is common place across the city. These usually run ‘after work’ until 7 or 8pm, although you can also find some which run from earlier in the day and at the weekend too. Some places have cheap drinks even outside of happy hour, so don’t be deterred if you are looking for a late night drink on the cheap.
A little tip when ordering beer – ask for ‘storstark‘. This translates to ‘big, strong’, and is the way for asking the cheap beer.
